Whispers in the wind,
Thoughts walking over themselves:
Can it really be?
Clockwork gears overturning.
Desperation pressurized.
God’s hungry stomach,
It yearns for celestial
Wherewithal and fare.
Yet there’s little room for thirst.
Thin streams of water bead down.
My heart lies on strings,
Feeling all perturbations,
Those stress vibrations—
Like a spider does for prey,
But praying for relation.
I’m a lover of words. I use language to identify myself and others. I connect memories by composing an autobiographical narrative.
It’s so arrogant
For one generation to
Presume that it “has
Always been this way” and worse
Still that it shouldn’t be changed.
Under Greener Tyranny
I’m chained to these weights.
The change I crave has to wait.
I’m hopelessly poor.
So is my whole family.
And our funds are bleeding out.
Christine’s Birthday Poetry:
I love my sister.
She looks out for my welfare.
She’s my best comrade.
She took me on vacation.
She did cover art for me.
The government has
Demonstrated tyranny
By abusing the
First amendment, the freedom
Of Press, by seizing records.
